Tell us something about yourself? Hi, I am Lokpal Prasad. I was born in a village in Guntur Dist and brought up in Hyderabad. We are a family of 6 members and My father is an Ex-service man always wanted us to follow System. He worked in security at ICRISAT for 15 Yrs and retired. My mother is a Teacher in a govt school and she strived each day to fulfill us with desires for bright future and Happiness. She gave us all that we require and always left empty in her own ways. My father taught us not to depend on anybody while mother imbibed hard work and dedication towards everything that we do.
During my teen age I use to think to get everything freely without any effort. As the years passed on I became practical to know and achieve each dream. Being practical made me stronger and responsible for what I do.
What are your hobbies? I love to play cricket and chess. Music is my passion. A R Rahman songs and Kishore kumar are my all time Favorite musicians. Also love to know more about legends and their autobiography. Mention about your professional life. I am working for BA Continuum Solutions Pvt Ltd a non-bank subsidiary of Bank of America (Most admired Company) as an Operational Analyst since January 2008. My interest is to know how Investment Banking would help to congregate each country in world markets for making profits and exchanging goods and services. So I am part of Investment Banking and has hands on FX.
Every day is a learning as a part of IB with the ups and downs of Investment Markets. I would also want to research in Finance which can be used for efficient outcomes in different industries.
When did you join Aashayein Foundation and why did you join it? I am associated with Aashayein Foundation from July 2008. I was inspired by one of the pic's of AASHAYEIN FOUNDATION presented in Hindu Newspaper and decided to join AASHAYEIN FOUNDATION . I haven't known any other NGO's before joining AASHAYEIN FOUNDATION but after joining AASHAYEIN FOUNDATION I felt I am on the right path. Serving the society is a great opportunity and by doing it through AASHAYEIN FOUNDATION with all the intellectuals is proud. Each individual's maturity in taking the decisions, planning and reaching the needy for education is what all AASHAYEIN FOUNDATION does. At end of the day satisfaction in giving to others through is what AASHAYEIN FOUNDATION's mission.
Which has been the most memorable day in Aashayein for you? Recently on 4th July 09 Pusthaka Abhiyana trip to Manchiryal, 300km from Hyderabad. We thought we would have a tough time to load and unload the books from bus, however together we didn't even felt any pain as every member of AASHAYEIN FOUNDATION worked together with joy. It's a jolly trip with fun and the books distributed to the kids. We find every kid's eyes filled with joy and happiness.
What are your expectations from Aashayein? AASHAYEIN FOUNDATION should find the poorest of the poor kids and impart education to these kids for bringing hope in their lives and thus eradicate illiteracy in society.
Tell us 2 things that you like in Aashayein and 2 areas that need more attention and how can we work on them? Two things I like :
- AASHAYEIN FOUNDATION members has commitment, dedication, innovative ideas, strategies, knowledge, wisdom, etc and work together without any discrepancies.
- All the drives and activities that are taken by AASHAYEIN FOUNDATION were useful for imparting education and creates better society.
Two things need to Improved :
- For any drive that AASHAYEIN FOUNDATION takes up need to form a committee where in each one can be assigned a responsibility i.e. delegation of work with proper planning.
- Supporting each others view with structured way in achieving success in all the initiatives that AASHAYEIN FOUNDATION does.
What are the different responsibilities that you would like to handle in Aashayein? Now I am part of BMKS team, however I would be also a part SA for teaching values to kids.
Where would you like to see Aashayein in 5 years from now? I would love to see AASHAYEIN FOUNDATION to establish a school with hostel for very poor kids who don't have clothes and food but has a dream to become leader to serve the needy.
Any message for Aashayein and its members? The way AASHAYEIN FOUNDATION running is great and to be a part of it is always proud. I salute all the members for their dedication, spending time and energy.
Treat each kid as you treat yourself. |
