I love kids.Their innocence, their selflessness, their affection, their craziness, love them all.But not everybody's childhood is rosy.An effort to make it better is something divine and I wanted to be a part of it . J In july ,heard about Aashayein from my friend Deepti Alla.

5. Which has been the most memorable day in Aashayein for you?
Aashayein has been the best thing to have happened to me , Each and every day has been very dear and special. On the teacher's day, one of the students who enacted as a teacher started teaching the kids from the lessons taught in my very first class.I was amazed at the memory of the kids,I was elated when kids came back and asked if I could remember teaching them.It gave me immense encouragement.

6. What are your expectations from Aashayein?
Right now, all I want is Aashayein to adopt AUPS. It surely will be a remarkable day.I am sure, after adopting,AUPS will become the role model for the other surrounding schools. We can touch many livesJ

7. Tell us 2 things that you like in Aashayein and 2 areas that need to be improved upon and how can we work on them?
The transparency in the system is biggest plus point for it. There is nothing like "communication gap" here.If you have a problem, just ping any of the members and within no time your problem is solved.
I know the workload in corporate. Employees wait for the weekend endlessly. Inspite of this, all the volunteers at Aashayein make an effort to do their bit to these kids on those weekends. Its really amazing.
As its been just just 2 months since Im a part of it, I really don't know so much that I can talk about the improvements.Would let you know soon

8. What are the different responsibilities that you would like to share in Aashayein?
There is an immediate need to make some major changes in Shikshana Abhiyana model.I would love to work on that.

9. Where would you like to see Aashayein 5 years from now?
I know Aashayein has good recognition among many citizens. But 5 years from now,I want Aashayein to become a household name in slums ,where parents proudly introduce their kids as somebody who has been trained by Aashayein.

10. Any message for Aashayein and its members.
Nobody must have waited for us as much as these kids do on Saturdays. Its the privilege they are giving us,Let us take pride in it and avail it.
